Customer support can be reached 24/7 by e-mail, a toll free number and from your Verizon prepaid cell phone without incurring airtime charges. I have used the Verizon Customer service and it is very good. I have used Tracfone and Net10 and Straight Talk customer serviceand it is not nearly as good as Verizon Wireless Customer Care.
I have gone to a Verizon Wireless retail store for assistance and also called 611 from my Prepaid phone. The Customer Support men and women were excellent. The 611 phone support person was based in Arizona not Chile.

Net10.com for 10 cents a minute or Tracfone.com. from 6.6 cents up to 33 cents a minute are less expensive available alternatives.

The Prepaid Core Plan is 99 cents per day access and calls are 10 cents per minute. Unlimited calls to other Verizon Wireless cell phones are free of charge. I used this plan for nearly a year, if most of your calls are generally with Verizon Wireless customers this can be a great deal.
The Verizon Prepaid Plus Plan is $1.99 per day access and charges 5 cents per minute. This plan also includes Unlimited night and weekend minutes (starting at 9 p.m.) and Unlimited calls to other Verizon Wireless phones all day.
The Verizon Prepaid Unlimited Talk Plan offers Unlimited minutes and one-cent text messages for $3.99 per day.

Included with Verizon Prepaid service is Nationwide long distance. There is no extra charge for nationwide long distance.
