The Verizon Prepaid Basic Plan costs 25 cents per minute with no daily access fee. The Verizon Basic plan is not competitive with any of the other prepaid plans.
Net10.com for 10 cents a minute or Tracfone.com. from 6.6 cents up to 33 cents a minute are much better alternatives.
The Core Plan will cost you 99 cents per day access and calls are 10 cents per minute. Unlimited calls to other Verizon Wireless phones are free of charge. I used this plan for nearly a year, if most of your calls are with Verizon Wireless customers this is often a great option.
The Verizon Plus Plan is $1.99 per day access and charges 5 cents per minute. This plan also includes Unlimited night and weekend minutes (starting at 9 p.m.) and Unlimited calls to other Verizon Wireless phones all day.
The Verizon Prepaid Unlimited Talk Plan offers Unlimited minutes and one-cent text messages for $3.99 per day.

Tracfone has two yearly plans on the market. They sell a $100 yearly minute card which includes 400 minutes (800 using DMFL). This unit card consistently has bonus codes readily available which will ordinarily allow you to get an extra 200 to 400 additional minutes. Check here for the most recent Tracfone Bonus Coupon Codes. If you just receive 800 Tracfone units using this unit card it will only cost you 12.5 cent units and under $9 a month for phone service.
Also offered by Tracfone.com is a $200 yearly plan. This minute card gives you 1500 minutes 3000 units with DMFL) and also a 12 months of service time. With Dmfl installed these units will only cost 6.6 cents each and your monthly price is less than $17 monthly.
