If you have 20 days left on your service and you add $15 you will only have 30 days of service after the addition. If you have 40 days of service left and you add a$15 payment you will still only have 40 days of service left. Verizon does not add your service balance to what you purchase, you receive the larger of either your remaining balance or the added service time.

The Verizon Prepaid Basic Plan charges 25 cents per minute with no daily access fee. The Verizon Wireless Basic plan is not a good value when you compare to other prepaid wireless plans.
Net10.com for 10 cents a minute or Tracfone.com. from 6.6 cents up to 33 cents a minute are better available alternatives.
The Core Plan is 99 cents per day access and calls are 10 cents per minute. Unlimited calls to other Verizon Wireless mobile phones are free. I made use of theVerizon Core program for nearly a year, if most of your calls tend to be to other Verizon Wireless customers this can be a great option.
The Plus Plan is $1.99 per day access and charges 5 cents per minute. Essentially this will be the same as the Core plan with Unlimited Nites and Weekends added and you will only pay 5 cents per text to receive and send.
The Verizon Prepaid Unlimited Talk Plan offers Unlimited minutes and one-cent text messages for $3.99 per day.

Conversion Verizon Wireless Prepaid to Contract Service
Your Verizon Prepaid cell phone can be converted to a Contract phone if you have used it for six months or more as a prepaid phone. You will not have to sign a contract to add this to a contract. I added a prepaid phone to my son’s contract for $10 a month on a month by month basis. I get a Long Term Contract rate and I did not sign a long term contract.
Tracfone Wireless Yearly Phone Plan
Tracfone has two unique yearly plans. They market a $100 yearly minute card which you get Four hundred units (800 using Double Minutes for Life. This unit card always has bonus codes readily available which will usually get you a bonus of 200 to 400 additional minutes. Check here for the latest Tracfone Bonus Codes. If you only receive Eight hundred minutes with this unit card you will pay 12.5 cent units and only $9 a month for service.
Additionally available from Tracfone.com is a $200 yearly program. This $200 plan will give you 1500 minutes (3000 with the Minute Doubler installed and a year of service. With DMFL these units will have cost 6.6 cents each plus your per month expense is under $17 monthly.
