The Verizon Plus Plan is $1.99 per day access and charges 5 cents per minute. This plan also includes Unlimited night and weekend minutes (starting at 9 p.m.) and Unlimited calls to other Verizon Wireless phones all day.
The Verizon Prepaid Unlimited Talk Plan offers Unlimited minutes and one-cent text messages for $3.99 per day.

You will pay up to a $25 activation fee when you start your Prepaid Verizon cellphone. I started mine at a Verizon store and bought a $30 card all at once. The person who activated it for me did not charge me the fee. I did spend $79.95 on the phone.

Tracfone has two totally different yearly plans. They sell a $100 one year unit card that you get Four hundred minutes (800 if you have DMFL). If you just receive 800 Tracfone units using this unit card you will pay 12.5 cent minutes and under $9 a month for phone service.
Additionally available from Tracfone.com is a $200 yearly program. This unit card will give you 1500 units 3000 units with the Minute Doubler installed and also a 12 months of activation time. With Double minutes for life installed these units are 6.6 cents each plus your per month price is less than $17 monthly.
